1. Post about something that made you happy today, even if it's just a small thing.

DAY 5.
The thermometer hit 65 degrees F today. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day. Parts of the yard are still buried under 12" of dirty snow, and the rest is mud and standing water, but we're making slow progress toward spring. While filling the bird feeder my foot sank 3" into mud. The weather is so lovely and mild that I don't even care that I'll need to fill a big rut as soon as the ground dries. :)

Today I am happy that the thermometer hit 45 degrees F. And I found some blueberry-cranberry crumb bars in the freezer. Tonight's dessert. Yum. :)

Yes. It's barely 7:45am, but currently I am happy and am going to run with it. :)
I am happy that I live in the beautiful state of Maine. Even though it's snowing again (yes, it's April 9, thanks for the joke Mother Nature) and even though the temps haven't risen much over the mid 30sF. I love the varied coastline, from the sandy beaches of York and Ogunquit, to the craggy cliffs of MDI and Acadia. I love the mountains and rivers, and the Whoopie Pies, lobster, and the Italians (the sandwiches - see below link).

Apr. 8th, 2015 01:49 pmI should probably do the 8 Days of Happiness meme that almost everyone on my flist has done recently. Lately, life has become a swirling cesspool of stress and anxiety, so it might be nice to concentrate on positivity for a change.

DAY 1.
I managed to use the treadmill without a single bit of pain in my knee. I don't know what happened, but a few weeks ago I was doing squats and my right knee just sort of went out. It has been twitchy and painful off and on ever since. This is the same knee I had surgery on years ago, so I was afraid I'd torn something. If I did, it has magically repaired itself. This makes me happy. :)
